Performers

Chrissy Fong is an active freelance flutist and educator in the New York City area. She currently serves as Principal Flute with New Amsterdam Opera, Piccolo with the New York Wind Orchestra, Orchestra 201, and Richmond County Orchestra, and Second Flute with the Palisades Sinfonietta. Her extensive performing experience has taken her throughout the United States, playing in venues ranging from Carnegie Hall and Radio City Music Hall to the Gibson Amphitheater in Universal City, CA.

Ms. Fong has done session work for LG and can be heard in the official recording of the national anthem for Aruba as well as a wide variety of other private projects. She was the winner of the 1997 All-American Festival Solo Competition and has appeared as a soloist with the Astoria Symphony, the Baroque Consort of New York, and the Brooklyn Symphony Orchestra.

Dr. Jeong-Hwa Park is a distinguished pianist and educator, actively engaged in teaching and performing as a soloist and chamber musician throughout the New York metropolitan area, Long Island and South Korea. Her performances span prestigious venues, including her New York debut recital at Weill Hall at Carnegie Hall, recitals at LeFrak Concert Hall at Queens College, Yamaha Hall in New York City, Old First Concert Series in San Francisco, Gammage Auditorium and the Museum of Arts in Arizona, London Piano Festival, and the MasterWorks Festival at Houghton College, New York.

Dr. Park’s recent chamber music appearance for Concerts on the Slope in Brooklyn was broadcast on WWFM The Classical Network. In South Korea, she was featured on national television (KBS) as the pianist for the National Choir of Korea, performed a solo recital at Daejeon Arts and Cultural Center, and was invited by Buam Art Hall in Seoul to present a lecture recital. She also performed at the College Music Society International Conference in Seoul as a collaborative pianist.

Her accomplishments include a Special Presentation Award from Artists International Presentations, leading to her solo recital at Carnegie Hall’s Weill Hall. She was awarded first prize in The Joseph and Ida Klatzkin Contemporary Solo Keyboard Music Competition and won the Arizona State University Piano Concerto Competition, which resulted in a broadcast of her performance on Arizona public radio, KBAQ.
Dr. Park holds Master of Music and Doctor of Musical Arts degrees in piano performance from Arizona State University. She currently serves as assistant adjunct piano faculty at Nassau Community College and is on the piano faculty at the Eisman Center for Preparatory Studies in Music at Queens College and the Brooklyn Conservatory of Music.

Dr. Tommy Wu was raised in Bay Shore, NY and began playing the double bass at eight years old. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Music Education from SUNY Fredonia and studied bass with Dr. Harry Jacobson. Tommy also holds a Master’s degree in Double Bass Performance and a Doctorate of Musical Arts from Stony Brook University, where he studied with Blake Hinson, assistant principal bass of the New York Philharmonic.

Tommy is actively performing with several New York-based ensembles such as the Long Island Festival Orchestra, Northport Symphony, North Shore Symphony, and The Butterfly Ensemble. His unique performance experiences include opera, Latin Jazz ensemble, Carnegie Hall performances, video game music, live radio performances, and bass quartet. He was awarded a Fellowship in the LIU Post Chamber Festival and the National Music Festival.

Aside from playing bass, Tommy is the orchestra director at Sewanhaka High School and adjunct double bass professor at Five Towns College. He held positions at several music institutions, such as The Perlman Music Program, D’addario Foundation, Music Academy of Garden City, The Stony Brook School, Metropolitan Youth Orchestra, and the Young Artists Program at Stony Brook University. He is also one of the founding members of the Instrument Petting Zoo program of Staller Center for the Arts and he is the conductor for the Outreach Program of Staller Center. He likes horror movies, food, and petting his dog. He is a proud PC gamer.

Hahnsol Kim, a violinist and conductor, has been praised by the Boston Herald for his performance of the Sibelius Violin Concerto in Boston. He made his Lincoln Center debut with The Juilliard Orchestra at Alice Tully Hall after winning the Juilliard Concerto Competition. A graduate of The Juilliard School, Kim has earned accolades in numerous international competitions, including the Osaka International Music Competition, the International Violin Competition Sion Valais, the Gisborne International Music Competition, and the Salieri-Zinetti International Chamber Music Competition. As a passionate chamber musician, Kim has collaborated with renowned artists such as Charles Neidich and Gil Shaham.

In addition to his performance career, he is deeply committed to fostering the next generation of musicians. He founded and now directs the Hahnsol Music Group, where he cultivates young talent through a concert series that provides valuable performance opportunities for emerging artists.

Shinae Kim is a Korean-American musician renowned for her expressive artistry and versatility as a clarinetist, pianist, and educator. Based in New York, she performs across classical and contemporary genres both as a soloist and ensemble member. Ms. Kim is a member of the New York Wind Orchestra and the experimental group Caught in a Snare, with recent performances including an appearance at David Geffen Hall at Lincoln Center.

As a proud Silverstein Works Artist, she is celebrated for her distinctive tone and creative voice. She holds Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees from the Aaron Copland School of Music at Queens College, where she studied under Charles Neidich and Ayako Oshima. Throughout her career, Ms. Kim has earned numerous accolades, including the Dorothy and Grosser Woodwind Excellence Award, which she received three times, and the Discimus ut Serviamus Award, a distinction she has won twice. With over 25 years of teaching experience, she has served as the band director at Buckley Country Day School and the music director at Young Nak Presbyterian Church of New York, where she continues to inspire students through both performance and mentorship.
